How do I read car Tyre Size?
When looking for new tyres for your car you'll need to know the size. The size of your tyre is located on the sidewall of your current tyres. Although tyre sidewalls contain a lot of information, the size is typically displayed prominently and in large writing. The size typically comprises three important numbers, such as 205/55 R16, with a few additional characters following, such as the load rating e.g. (91) and speed rating e.g. (V) - 91V
In this example the width is 205 the profile is 55 the rim size is 16 (Inch). When creating a request for car tyres on Servo you'll need those numbers.

Can Tyres be Fixed?
We are somtimes asked if a tyre can be fixed, the answer is:
Yes, a punctured car tyre can be fixed, depending on the size and location of the puncture. If the puncture is in the tread area and the size of the puncture is not too large, it is usually possible to repair the tyre. However, if the puncture is on the sidewall, the tyre cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
It's important to note that not all punctures can be repaired. For example, if the puncture is larger than 6mm or if the puncture is too close to the sidewall, it may not be possible to repair the tyre. Additionally, if the tyre has been driven on while flat, the damage may be too severe to repair.
If you are unsure whether a punctured tyre can be repaired, it's best to take it to a professional tyre shop for an assessment. They will be able to advise you on the best course of action, which may include a repair or replacement.
